Capture AV-Stream (live, vod)

Try mplayer/ mencoder, ffmpeg & vlc. It’s pretty easy. Kind of.

mplayer -dumpstream $url -dumpfile stream.[wmv|flv|mp4|...]

Read the manuals. These tools are amazing!
